TradFest 2026

In January 2026, I photographed TradFest across Temple Bar, Dublin, capturing the festival as it unfolded beyond the main stages and into the streets and pubs of the city. From the Smithwick’s sessions filling dozens of pubs with traditional music, to the Clew Bay Pipe Band making their way through the streets, I was drawn to the energy, movement and spontaneity of the festival.

For the closing gig, An Sesh Mór, I photographed several groups as they took to the stage, capturing the intensity and energy of the performances. The photographs bring together the different faces and sounds of the festival — from intimate pub sessions to music spilling into the streets and the collective atmosphere of a packed final night.
